MANDATORY FULL WBC PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 2, 2024
Ladies and gentlemen,
Please note your calendars that FULL payment for the WBC was due April1st, as posted on the website December of 2023. Quite a lot of you have only sent your first deposit. It is MANDATORY that we receive in our account by this Thursday full payment. We have been understanding by allowing an extra month but now the bills are due. We must pay in advance; so must you. PLEASE do us the favor by NOT asking how much you have paid; go to your PayPal account to locate what you sent then send the balance. Some of you did NOT account for PayPal fees but we can settle that small amount at checkin. If you are staying offsite but want meals we must know IMMEDIATELY!

All participants must pay $300 by December 28, 2023
4. Cost Information
For those wishing to participate in Team Only, Individual Only or LD Only the costs are:
$1025 Team Only - $750 Individual Only - $350 LD Only
Team Only includes six nights and meals (July 6-11), field fees, transportation and awards.
Individual Only includes four nights and meals (July 12-16), field fees, transportation and awards.
LD Only includes two nights and meals (July 10&11), field fees, transportation and awards.
None of these three options include the excursion.
5. MISC. Information
We will attempt to work with anyone who has special needs but further a la carte options are generally not possible
as the cost of the WBC is spread over all participants.
IF you want a room with one other person but do not have someone with which to share put
"I'd like a room with one other person but need a roommate" in the Room Request box above and we will do our best to make that accommodation happen.
For those who wish to purchase their own room (or for two only) please ask for this option in the room requests box below. This box is NOT for Team member room assignments. Continue reading for more info regarding room assignments. The cost for a room by yourself instead of four to a room is an ADDITIONAL $150 per night. The cost for the room with tax is $200 per night and so our figure with four to a room amounts to $50 per night per person. This is included in the fees mentioned above. For those that wish the option of a room by themselves we will calculate per request and break that down over the next two payments.
There MAY be a limit on total number of throwers for LD, depending on how many wish to throw. At the time of initial registration, only those who have thrown 100 meters in any competition are allowed, with 80 meters for women or Juniors. We will consider other throwers based on circumstances, such as those whose country has not had a LD competition. Email the organizers for details.
Remember: All fees listed here are based on 100 participants for the entire WBC. IF there are fewer participants, fees will be adjusted accordingly with the final payment.
6. Room Assignments and Rules
As people register, we will compile our rooming list. As you know, our ability to offer the listed price for the WBC is based on 4 people per room sharing two queen sized beds (160cm wide). We must provide, per contract, to the hotel a list of who will stay in a certain room. This effects ALL who are staying at the Hyatt Place Hotel (official rooming for the WBC), even if you are not participating in the four per room pricing. We MUST hear from everyone staying at the Hyatt. We particularly need to hear from teams about rooming preference. For example, if you are a team of six, please tell us four names for one room and two names that we will combine for another room. We will try to be as understanding about this as possible. BUT this will also require understanding from all… after all, we are one boomerang family. Again, by example, if the Japanese team tell us throwers 1-4 (by name) will share a room, then throwers 5 & 6 (by name) will be paired with, perhaps, throwers 5 & 6 (by name) of the Brazilian team (this is just an example). This also effects any throwers where they do not have an agreed upon grouping of four. If you are one of the throwers this effects feel free to tell us a preference and we will try to make this happen. Also, feel free to tell me with discretion if there is someone that you just can not share a room with and we will do our best to understand and accommodate. This information will be private and not shared. Hopefully we do not have this issue :-) Remember, this will be a detailed effort on our part and we cannot make promises but we will do our best to grant all requests. If anyone wishes to form their own group of four for a room, let us know right away. Once the rooming list is published, participants are required to abide by the list. Please send any requests for room assignments by email to [email protected]
Also, concerning the rooms, our contract specifies that no incidentals may be charged to a room. If you wish to purchase incidentals, you must make contact with the hotel on site and provide payment for such independent of the WBC booking.
And a couple of important details: You may bring alcohol to your room but you may NOT drink personal alcohol
in hotel public spaces. This is Colorado LAW.
If you wish to drink alcohol in hotel public spaces you must purchase from the hotel.
Also, though marijuana is legal in Colorado, there is ABSOLUTELY no smoking or vaping of ANY kind anywhere inside the hotel. There is NO drinking, smoking or vaping on the throwing field.
When you register, if you want vegetarian or vegan options, you must indicate with the buttons provided.
